Working for our organisation

Now is a really exciting time to join the Royal Free London Group. On 1st January 2025, North Middlesex University Hospital joined the RFL Group to bring the best of the NHS to every patient. The new single trust will bring the best of both our organisations together for the benefits of our patients.

The Royal Free Group is now one of the biggest NHS trusts in the country serving a population of over 2 million people, providing care across more than 70 sites in North London.

Barnet Hospital

Barnet is the Largest Borough in London with a population of approximately 389,100, which is expected to rise to over 400,000 by 2030. With a rapidly ageing population, it is focused on ‘ageing well’ – looking at how elderly patients can receive the best outcomes both in the hospital and at home.

Its new £6.5 million emergency department provides a modern space to enable it to care for patients on the correct pathway upon entry, allowing for earlier diagnosis and same-day care where possible.

North Middlesex University Hospital

North Mid serves more than 600,000 people living across Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest which is one of the most diverse in Europe. North Mid is ambitious in our role as an anchor institution, and seek to influence more than the transactional delivery of healthcare alone.

Reducing health inequalities is at the heart of our True North Strategy.
