Your new role
Our client are looking for a skilled and motivated accountancy technician to join their team. The successful candidate will support accountants by performing a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable/receivable.
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with tax filings.
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior accountants.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial information.
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
- Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accountancy Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certification (e.g., AAT) is preferred.
