Solihull council are recruiting for an experienced Children’s Social Worker for their integrated Front Door – Assessment Team.
Your new role
Solihull's integrated Front Door comprises of an EDT team, MASH and 4 x assessment teams. We are currently looking for experienced social workers to join our assessment teams.As a qualified Social worker, you will complete assessments under section 17 and Section 47 alongside child impact reports (similar to section 7 reports).
Solihull council are looking for social workers with experience of duty and assessment work who are passionate and committed to delivering high-quality intervention for children. Staff are expected to be office-based during their duty week and for two days a week when not on duty.
Due to the semi-rural location, you must have a driving licence and access to a car.Social workers have an average of 16–20 caseloads of children. Workers are guaranteed monthly one-to-one supervision, monthly group supervision and bimonthly service development workshops. Flexible hours may be considered. What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to- Have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
- Social Work England registration
- 3 years post-qualifying experience.
- Previous experience working within Social Work adults services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
