Admin Assistant and Receptionist
What skills and experience we're looking for
This is an opportunity for a flexible, enthusiastic and energetic person to join our busy school.
Main duties will include:
- Working on our student and visitor reception between 11.30am – 1.00pm every day.
- Providing admin support to curriculum departments, from providing letters for trips, arranging purchasing of resources to managing photocopying requests.
- Greeting visitors, contractors and students in our busy reception.
- Using the school management information system, SIMS, to record and retrieve key student data.
Experience in Microsoft Office is preferred and knowledge of school-based systems such as SIMS would be desirable but not essential as full training will be available. We put staff wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and will provide a bespoke induction program and on the job training tailored to your needs.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- The ability to relate well to children and adults
- Good numeracy/literacy skills educated to GCSE level standard or equivalent with passes including English and Maths at C or above
- Can demonstrate administrative and organisational skills
- Working closely with members of your team and the wider staff
- Developing strong and trusting relationships with your colleagues
- Prioritising your own CPD
- A committed, enthusiastic, open and accessible team of staff with a desire to continue to move the school forward.
