Quant Developer

Robert Half Technology are assisting a rapidly growing start

• up organisation to recruit a Quant Developer on a contract basis
• London based
• start ASAP

• The Quant Developer will develop a robust, scalable automated trading system using Python and the Interactive Brokers API
• Build a global options scanner capable of identifying predefined trading opportunities in real time
• Design backend systems to ingest and process high-volume market data with low latency and high accuracy
• Implement trade execution logic and automate end-to-end trade lifecycle
• Integrate dynamic risk controls to ensure resilient execution under live market conditions
• Collaborate with the investment team to iterate on strategy logic and support real-time deployment
• Maintain and improve internal reporting tools for live and historical data

• The Quant Developer will have proven experience building automated or algorithmic trading systems
• Strong backend Python development skills (including clean, production-grade code)
• Solid understanding of Interactive Brokers API (or equivalent trading APIs)
• Excellent grasp of system design, data structures, and software architecture
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in real-time, high-throughput environments
• Highly autonomous, entrepreneurial, and proactive mindset
• Comfortable working in lean, fast-moving teams

• Rapidly growing trading start-up organisation with offices in London
• On site required
• Outside IR35
