20 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday, Term Time + 5 days (pro-rated) (Temporary to 31 August 2026)
About the Academy
Outwood Academy Riverside, founded in September 2020 through the Free Schools Programme, implements the Riverside values program for all students at the start of every academic year.
The academy is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol, ensuring strong routines and top-notch pastoral care for all pupils.
Located at Russell Street, Middlesbrough, Outwood Academy Riverside is set to have a new school built on Pioneering Way close to Middlesbrough College. Additionally, a satellite site in Eston has opened in September 2024 as the school continues to grow.
As a Science Technician you will provide technical support to the Science Department as directed by the Teacher. Duties will include preparing materials and resources for lessons, setting up equipment for practical sessions and assisting teaching staff with practical and examination work.
There will be an expectation to ensure the safety of equipment, laboratories and preparation areas, including the testing of apparatus, daily visual checks on supplies and safely storing hazardous materials/apparatus.
Applicants must hold relevant Health and Safety Qualifications including COSHH/CLEAPSS and must be willing to obtain and/or enhance qualifications within the role.
