Early Years Practitioner
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team, playing a key role in supporting the growth and development of our youngest children. If you share our passion for early years education, we would love to hear from you.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be a key member of a collaborative team, working under the guidance of the Headteacher, Early Years Lead and Class Teacher. You will:
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Plan and deliver creative and engaging learning activities for nursery aged children (2 - 3 years old)
- Support children’s development across physical, social, and emotional areas
- Work closely with staff, parents and carers to meet individual needs
- Ensure a safe, clean and welcoming environment that promotes learning
- Contribute to assessments and planning, including for children with special educational needs
The ideal candidate:
- Will hold a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educator or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is essential
- Enjoys being around young children
- Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Is confident in planning and leading activities to support children’s development
- Is passionate, caring and committed to supporting young learners
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working well as part of a team as well as independently
- Has a Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to complete)
