The role will provide senior Employment Relations support, through a coaching styleapproach, to managers within the organisation and ensure the provision of expert, customer focused employment relations management advice, offer guidance on human resources policies, case management other workforce productivity initiatives.
The post holder will provide expert advice as well as provide professional supervision to allocated members of the wider team. The role will be expected to work collaboratively with the Network HR Business Partners and Network Senior Management teams toensure awareness of Network challenges and support effective employee relations within the Network.

Ensuring that the provision of advice and support to managers and staff in the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures and complex areas of employment relations is accurate, governed by national and legal frameworks as well as providing a specialist interpretation of national terms and conditions of service,local policies and procedures and National workforce initiatives.Ensuring that problems are identified and resolved quickly, effectively and fairly and that throughout all processes there is open and effective communication with staff and their representatives.

Responsible for the management and maintenance of the team key performance indicators and standard operating procedures within the Employee Relations Service. Management of an allocated Employee Relations Advisor and oversight of the professional development of roles within the team to ensure that professional CPD is maintained.
In line with development priorities, collaborate with other members of the workforce and OD service in developing HR and OD initiatives that create and add value to the business and performance of the Trust. To identify and progress early interventions to minimise workplace conflict and assess the feasibility of introducing alternative approaches to resolving disputes.

Influence and drive business thinking and develop approaches that support operational business objectives, organisational design and resource plans and have an awareness around the implementation of workforce change processes Support the development and embedding of a just and learning culture within the organisation To provide specialist Employment Relations support to investigating officers, undertaking disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes and managing other aspects of employee relations in line with Trust policies and procedures.

To provide advice and support to investigating officers and act as a panel member where appropriate in employment related hearings, providing senior advice and support to managers, considering the evidence presented to determine the appropriate action / outcome and advising on policy and procedural interpretation andorganisational precedents.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff side representatives and Trade Union full time officials, including proactive communication of relevant employment relations issues. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the ER tracker casework management systems Work in close partnership with other Trust departments to continually improve the impact and quality of the Employee Relations advice provided Work in partnership with Workforce and Information Teams in relation to the obtaining of relevant workforce reports, providing analysis and interpretation of reports to HRBPs, Network meetings and People and Workforce groups where required.

Ensuring that follow up and actions are completed in a timely manner Collate monitoring information as required with deadlines for management reports Play a key role in supporting the review and development of workforce policies,procedures, tools, training and quality improvement systems.
