-leading international manufacturing organisation based near Barsnley.This role offers upskilling, and personal development and is supported with an incredible benefits package with an ever growing and secure manufacturing group.We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading international manufacturing organisation based near Barsnley.This role offers upskilling, and personal development and is supported with an incredible benefits package with an ever growing and secure manufacturing group.The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer package starts with a basic salary of £45,900 which is due to rise in April, and includes an operations incentive bonus and premium overtime opportunities and generous holiday allowance, plus 3 additional shutdown daysWhat’s on offer as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Basic salary: £45,900 per annum due to rise in April, plus bonus, overtime at a premium x1.5 and X2 Shift: Panama pattern of 12 hour shifts working a combination of days 6am – 6pm and nights 6pm- 6am, with a weekly average of 42 hours Holidays: 25 days holidays, plus bank holidays in lieu and 3 days shutdown Pension: 5 Employer and Minimum of 3 Employee Benefits package: Share options, Health Plan and Occupational Health, and cycle-to-work scheme, etc.
Development: Various training and career development opportunities available, including health and safety training, leadership and management training, cross-skilling and upskilling Job security: within a market-leading, international manufacturing organisation.Responsibilities of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:- Carry out diagnostic work on a range of mechanical and electrical equipment and processing lines
- Breakdowns, fault finding & repair of complex machinery & ancillaries
- Supporting electrically skilled personnel with fault finding and repair on 3 phase electrical systems & operations, PLC’s, control systems.
- Carry out Planned Maintenance PPM tasks to a high standard
- Initiating improvement in practices, Systems & procedures
- Ensuring that Engineering records are accurately maintained & presented in a timely manner
- Comply with all HSE policies and procedures.Essential Qualifications & Experience of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
- Mechanical qualifications
- Time served engineering apprenticeship
- Trouble shoot & repair equipment & systems which include Electrical, mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic & PLC
- 3 + years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
- Be able to carry out PPM on machinery
