About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work with families who are homeless, providing essential support and resettlement services. Your efforts will help families transition to stable housing and improve their overall well-being.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A SOCIAL CARE ROLE. SUPPORT WORKERS WITH CARE & SUPPORT EXPERIENCE ONLY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE SHORT LISTED, PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN TENANCY SUSTAINMENT/HOUSING.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to homeless families, addressing their unique needs.
  • Assist families in finding and securing suitable housing.
  • Offer guidance on accessing community resources and services.
  • Develop and implement resettlement plans in collaboration with families.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of support provided.
  • Work collaboratively with other service providers and agencies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by homeless families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
