An opportunity has arisen for a full time (37.5 hours) Health Care Clinical Support worker within the In-patient Physical rehabilitation based at Prospect Park Hospital.
Oakwood is a nurse led community inpatient hospital with 24 beds. We are a very friendly team with In-House doctors, Nurses, health care assistants, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Multi Therapy assistants.
The role will be based in the Oakwood inpatient community hospital which aims to support patients in increasing rehabilitative goals and functional abilities during a short stay to enable them to return home.
We are looking for dynamic and motivated staff, who can provide effective communication skills, a flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure, both as part of a team and independently. To ensure patient safety is maintained at all times.Fulfil the role of Healthcare Clinical Support using a Competency Tool applicable to this role.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
- English to a standard to be able to fulfil the role (fluent in written and verbal English)
- Will be expected to undertake NVQ 2 in care or equivalent.
- Good communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and attend study sessions
Person specification
Education/Qualification/Training
Essential criteria- English and Maths (A*-C or 9-4) GCSE or equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to undertake the Care Certificate.
Previous Experience
Essential criteria- Demonstrable experience of delivering excellent customer service.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
Essential criteria- Knowledge of personal care and related procedures
- Proficient IT skills; able to input, save and open information in a variety of systems.
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues in a variety of roles and seniorities, and service users where there may be barriers to understanding or engagement.
