  • Monday - Friday

We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, caring and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant who will be working with a team of staff to support our pupils to be successful in school.

All pupils at The Holy Brook School have an Education Health Care Plan for Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. You will need to have a proven record of working with children with special educational needs.

Experience in Emotion coaching, Devising Individual Timetables & Play based learning will be an advantage. You will need to be resilient and able to use your initiative whilst also able to follow advice & direction.

The successful candidate will work with the Senior leadership team and also alongside visiting professionals such as the Educational Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist to deliver support programmes which have been agreed.

Job Purpose
  • To complement the professional work of teachers.
  • To plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups or short term for a whole class.
  • To monitor and assess pupils, record and report on their achievement, progress and development and to liaise with class teachers and Senior Leadership Team.
  • To be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within school and to manage and mentor other staff as appropriate and relevant.
