Job overview
In accordance with the objectives set by the RFL Group Chief Pharmacist and Senior Operations Managers for CDC and Imaging, in line with medicines legislation to co-ordinate and develop the provision of high quality pharmacy services to patients visiting the services.To be an active member of the clinical, operational and governance for the services providing specialist advice and support. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team and divisional managers, the post holder will ensure the safe and cost-effective use of drugs and demonstrate effective control of drug expenditure within these areas.

Main duties of the job- Responsible for advising and supporting the development of clinical documents e.g. policies, DTC applications, patient group directions/written instructions, etc
- Developing proformas for administration of prescription only medicines,
- Initial CQC medicines management compliance working closely with the Chief Technician.
- Providing similar support for Imaging Services across the sites
- In year we would then assess the long-term pharmacist requirements for the service and scale appropriately.

Our Hepatology service is one of the largest and most comprehensive in the UK. We are a tertiary Liver Transplant centre providing specialist care and are the hub centre for Viral Hepatitis, Autoimmune Liver disease and Wilson’s disease.
