Platform Care Services Reading
Platform Care Services is a supported living provider for vulnerable adults.
Pay: £11.44-£11.94 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and experienced Support Workers to be part of our team of support workers within the setting, as well as administration duties, this role would suit a innovative and organised team player who is confident in their role.
Key Responsibilities -- To provide the highest level of support and attention to service users, monitoring and completing individual support planning for all service users.
- To support the team with on-call duties and cover of support where necessary.
- To maintain high levels of administration duties throughout the service including daily logs, incident reporting and risk assessments.
- To always be alert to service users’ physical and mental wellbeing, immediately dealing with and reporting any changes in a services user’s condition. Liaising with other care professionals as required, and ensuring that all records are updated accurately.
- Undertaking general cleaning duties throughout the homes as needed.
- Capable under pressure and able to react to challenging situations.
- To have a flexible working approach on a 24/7 basis for on-call requirements.
- Minimum of 1 year working in a support/care environment.
- A good standard of IT skills including Microsoft Word, report writing and email communications.
- A good understanding of budgeting.
- A warm and friendly disposition
- A strong team player
- Strong communication skills, able to put others at ease
