An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated and able Head of Food Technology to join our Technology department on a permanent part-time basis. We are looking for an excellent practitioner to develop the Food & Nutrition curriculum, raising academic achievement and ensuring all pupils make outstanding progress within this area.
The successful candidate will be:
§ Able to inspire pupils of all abilities within Food Technology to achieve their highest potential.
§ Able to support the Head of Technology to raise achievement and ensure outstanding pupil progress.
§ Experienced with proven outcomes in teaching Food & Nutrition.
§ Able to confidently manage behaviour within the relevant department area.
§ Committed to delivering consistently outstanding teaching and ability to share your practice with others in a constructive and collaborative manner.
§ Able to contribute to the strategic development of the department by implementing new initiatives, and monitoring and reporting on key outcomes within Food Technology.
§ Responsible and accountable for pupil attainment and achievement, by tracking pupil progress and supporting individual pupils’ learning needs within Food Technology.

Crofton Academy, part of Castleford Academy Trust, is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive of over 1,000 pupils offering a broad and balanced curriculum.
