About Our Client

Our client is a well-established, large organisation Based in Newbury, who pride themselves in providing innovative solutions and sustainable practices.

Job Description
  • Cashbook reconciliation for multiple bank accounts and balance sheet reconciliations using Excel spreadsheets
  • Processing and coding credit card transactions and personal expense claims
  • Maintaining fixed asset register
  • Raising manual invoices
  • Making payments
  • Processing journals
  • Monthly Intrastat and EC Sales,
  • Accounting for accruals and prepayments,
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
  • Liaising with credit controller
  • Assisting with preparation for year end
  • Ad hoc accounts payable queries as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of principles and practices of basic accounting
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail with an aptitude for numbers
