Accounts Payable Analyst
You will be instrumental in implementing and delivering key processes, resolving procedural queries, and providing advice on specialist policies and procedures. The successful candidate will have the chance to work flexibly across the North of England, with regular visits to their Manchester office.
As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the provision of effective finance, procurement and risk services. Your responsibilities will include managing data repositories, analysing data, producing reports that aid decision-making processes, and monitoring systems within your area of specialism.
You will also act as a lead delivery resource on project work streams related to your area of specialism. Furthermore, you will oversee the work of contractors and suppliers daily while maintaining positive working relationships across the business.
- Provide technical specialist support to the business by completing complex technical activities
- Respond to requests from various stakeholders, providing specialist finance, procurement and risk advice
- Manage repositories, collate and analyse data using tools, methods and techniques to produce reports supporting decision-making process
- Monitor systems, processes and practices within area of specialism, identify opportunities for improvement
- Communicate with a wide range of internal/external stakeholders on area of specialism
- Act as a lead delivery resource on project work streams related to area of specialism
- Oversee the work of contractors and suppliers on a day-to-day basis
- Maintain positive working relationships across the business and drive consistency of approach and standards
The ideal Accounts Payable Analyst candidate will have experience in the following areas:
- Experience as a technical specialist in a professional service area with relevant sector experience
- Experience in problem-solving guided by application and interpretation of relevant policy and precedent
- Experience in managing/supervising a team engaged in complex tasks
- Experience in providing financial, procurement and/or risk management support within customer-focused organisation
