The National Autistic Society Robert Ogden School is a large independent school in South Yorkshire for autistic children and young people aged 5 to 19 years. Our school opens up the world to each autistic child, with a huge range of opportunities and facilities.

Our dedicated staff are there to support our pupils (the majority are supported 1:1) so that they can achieve.

We are seeking a qualified Teacher to work in our school for autistic pupils. Experience of teaching autistic pupils would be an advantage.

You must have the following:

  • It is essential that you have the ability to develop skills to teach entry level and GCSE science.
  • The ability to teach science to entry level and GCSE is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the curriculum and the impact on autistic pupils.
  • The ability to lead and drive forward the coordination of your designated areas of the curriculum across the school.
  • Be keen about curriculum innovations and teaching and learning approaches, especially related to neurodiversity.

We need you to be resilient, caring and sensitive towards the needs of autistic children and as a valued, creative member of our team you will know that you have made a positive impact on a young person’s learning and development.
