£51,883 - £58,544 Inc HCAS per annum pro rata
An opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our community team in Bromley. This is a bank post and we are keen to recruit candidates who would appreciate the flexibility of bank working, be able to staff our outpatient FEES clinic and help us to deliver our exciting projects. This includes:
- PDUK FEES and EMST project
- Community-based FEES delivery
- Care home training model review and expansion
- Development of a centralised triage model
- FEES internal sustainability and training programme
Our Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service thrives on a culture of support and camaraderie. Operating throughout the community of Bromley, we provide our services to patients in their homes, care facilities, and outpatient clinics.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will have the opportunity to provide SLT input into our varied caseloads based on their skills, experience and interests.
You will enjoy the flexibility to focus on the area that aligns best with your professional interests.
Due to a huge amount of investment in technology, Bromley Healthcare is able to offer staff flexibility in their working to a level rarely seen elsewhere.
Postgraduate training and experience in dysphagia is a requirement of this post. You will have relevant experience in managing adults with acquired communication and swallowing impairments and will ideally have some experience in supervising or line managing others.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent.
- Health Professions Council Licence to practice.
- Evidence of CPD
- other relevant courses and qualifications
Experience
Essential criteria- Experience working clinically as an SLT. Evidence of independent caseload management.
- Experience working as an SLT with adults who have neurological conditions
- Level 2/3 FEES Endoscopist
Skills
Essential criteria- To be able to independently assess and manage patients with dysphagia.
- Knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions for dysphagia and communication and an ability to compare and contrast relative benefits.
- Full UK driver’s license / Car driver with access to a car for work purposes

Salary is determined by NHS experience and current banding/pay point. External applicants will begin at the entry point of the salary scale in line with NHS terms and conditions.
