Our client, a leading reputable manufacturing business with a local HQ and international presence, has a new job opportunity for a qualified accountant to join them as Commercial Finance Business Partner.
Your new role
Reporting to the head of financial performance management, your role will be varied and responsibilities will include:
- Deliver the month-end process ensuring that all internal reporting deadlines are met, lead monthly review meetings with Sales and Commercial teams and provide appropriate analysis and reporting for Senior Leadership/Board.
- Support the Finance Performance Management process across the Sales and Commercial functions, ensuring the right information and insights are provided to guide the delivery of financial targets.
- Delivering Customer, Product and Sector financial performance insight to the Sales Management Teams with the purpose of driving improved business decision-making.
- Supporting profit delivery through assisting the Commercial and Sales teams in preparing cost projections for all customer quotes.
- Developing financial models, budgets, and forecasts to steer business growth
- Influence, coordinate and provide transparent management information for inclusion in Financial Business Plans (5YP, Budget, quarterly forecasts) relating to net revenue, gross margin and commercial contribution.
- Deliver improvement initiatives across both Finance and the Sales and Commercial business. Initiatives will range from improving financial process and control to working with Sales and Commercial teams on business projects focused on accelerating growth and driving contribution where financial analysis and insight is required.
What you'll need to succeed
A fully qualified accountant with experience in a similar finance business partnering role- Ability to adhere to deadlines and adopt a challenging approach to delivering robust, accurate financial data and information to meet business needs.
- Experience in the analysis of complex financial information using financial modelling tools.
- Sound judgement and ability to make evidence-based recommendations.
- Ability to cut through ambiguity to provide insight.
- Ability to develop alternative scenarios for financial/commercial issues.
- Demonstrable knowledge and use of an ERP
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and transfer into meaningful financial information for use in business decision-making is required.
- Confident, self-motivated, and resilient, able to proactively identify issues and drive the delivery of solutions.
- Strong collaboration and business partnering skills, especially in cross-functional contexts.
A salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits package
