ABOUT THE ROLE

The Internal Communications Manager will play a key role in Immediate's Communications team, part of our wider People Team, which includes our HR, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, ED&I and Facilities teams.

As our Internal Communications manager, you will the lead on Immediate’s internal communications strategy, working with a range of internal stakeholders, to create and deliver relevant content and initiatives across a variety of platforms.

Culture is a hugely important part of Immediate’s success, you will be responsible for creating engaging content (video, stills, and written) and initiatives to drive engagement, promote key business priorities, and support our Learning and Development, well-being, ED&I and social activities, through a range of internal communications activities.

As the Communications manager for Immediate, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining Immediate’s internal communications channels, including generating new content ideas, managing different platforms, and creating content in various formats.
  • Working with the Director of Comms to develop and deliver an internal communications strategy delivered across multiple platforms.
  • Create and maintain the central communications calendar and schedule for all internal comms activity.
  • Source content and produce Immediate’s weekly internal newsletter.
  • Maintain and create regular content for Immediate’s intranet, oneimmediate.
  • Project manage Immediate’s annual staff awards, IM Awards, as well as Immediate’s annual engagement survey (including follow-up Pulse surveys)
  • Create written and visual content for internal events, including regular All-Hands all company meetings
  • Build strong relationships across Immediate to identify and produce a regular flow of news content to support Immediate’s business priorities
  • Work closely with our internal events team to support and promote Immediate’s active social engagement programme
  • Work closely with the wider People team to support communication activities for key business priorities
  • Work with the communications and the wider people team to develop new ideas and initiatives to drive engagement and awareness of key strategic priorities
Requirements
  • Experience working in an internal communications role
  • A background in leading on successful projects and implementing internal communication strategies and plans
  • Familiarity in briefing design and video teams
  • Exposure to developing, writing and implementing creative, compelling content
  • An understanding of using internal communications channels
  • online, face to face, events, awards and print
  • including knowledge of SharePoint and social media
  • Knowledge of best practice in internal engagement and employee experience
  • Proven ability to network among a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Tenacious but diplomatic
  • Proven ability to use initiative
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent written skills
  • Experience of creating video content desirable
