Accounts Assistant – Temporary (2–3 Months)

A leading London-based investment and advisory organisation is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong accounts payable and corporate accounts administration experience to support a busy, high-performing finance function.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, the Accounts Assistant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations across multiple group entities. The successful candidate will be involved in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and liaising with external accountants.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable:
- Entering and coding invoices
- Managing system workflow approvals
- Processing payments via banking platforms
- Reviewing and submitting items for authorisation
- Employee Expenses:
- Reviewing staff expense claims
- Processing payments
- Raising recharges where necessary
- External Accountant Liaison:
- Providing AP/AR invoices, bank statements, and correspondence (for VAT returns)
- Monthly Recharges:
- Preparing recharge invoices from management companies to relevant entities
- Accounts Receivable:
- Raising invoices for group companies
- Recording payment receipts
- Bank Reconciliations:
- Completing monthly reconciliations across several group bank accounts
- Team Collaboration:
- Working closely with the global finance team on intra-group recharges and aligned processes
- Part-qualified Accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent
- 5–10 years relevant accounting experience
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Experience using financial systems (Yardi preferred but not essential)
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong problem-solving ability
