This essential role revolves around enhancing operational efficiency and refining processes, utilising Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce time, and enhance overall efficiency.
We operate round the clock, offering a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. Comprehensive technical training will be provided, setting the groundwork for your progressive responsibilities within Continuous Improvement (CI), and acquainting you with our machinery.
As you advance in your role, you'll spearhead improvement projects designed to boost both the productivity and efficacy of our department. A robust hands-on approach in mechanical and electrical engineering is crucial. We're looking for someone who's not just motivated but also excited about learning.
Leading and managing CI projects will be a core part of your responsibilities, with an emphasis on timely execution and achieving measurable impacts. You'll also champion Kaizen initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Conducting structured root cause analysis will help you identify and eliminate inefficiencies, and your focus on preventative maintenance will play a key role in improving efficiencies through hands-on involvement.
We require candidates who have completed an engineering apprenticeship with at least an HNC qualification. Hands-on experience in fault finding within a production environment, as is experience managing a team of technical personnel. Demonstrated history of working within a continuous improvement culture with tangible examples is highly valued.
To thrive in this position, you'll need the ability to identify waste and inefficiencies, coupled with a solid understanding of root cause analysis. Strong communication skills and excellent project management capabilities are essential.
We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail who is self-motivated, flexible, and eager to learn and develop. The role may require shift work, including nights and weekends, so flexibility is important.
