Despite my different health conditions, including autoimmune disorders, I am a 49-year-old lady with great humour and a light spirit. These, among others, include fibromyalgia and Addison's Disease. I also have mobility issues and use a crutch most of the time indoors and an electric wheelchair outdoors.I am semi-retired and work as a counsellor three days a week in the afternoons. I have many hobbies, such as photography, building dollhouses, and quilting. However, as with this, I can get depressed at times.
As a Personal Assistant, you must be enthusiastic about communicating with and supporting me in a person-centred manner.
I am looking for a personal assistant (female due to the nature of personal care work) for:- Mondays
- Sundays at 8:45 am
to complement the position of another two Personal Assistants for a permanent contract.
The schedule requested from you would be as follows:- Mondays: 4 1/2 hours
- Sundays: 2 ¼ hours
- Preparing breakfast,
- helping with personal care (shower/dressing),
- and preparing a hot meal with "Hello Fresh".
- You will also remind me to take my medication and prepare my lunch pack for work.
- Mondays also include social hours, particularly taking me to appointments or doing crafts, such as building dollhouses at home when I do not feel well enough to go out.
Details:
- You MUST like dogs and cats as I have two very friendly cocker spaniels and two cuddly cats.
- Working as part of a team and covering the other personal assistants when they are sick or on holiday is also essential, as and when required, on all other days of the week.
- Social Services and I employ this position. The pay rate is £17.52 per hour (subject to NI and Tax deductions).
- Using technology such as a Google Calendar and a WhatsApp group to communicate is necessary for this job.
