Frontend Theme Developer (Shopify)

About the role- Theme Developer
The Theme Developer is responsible for contributing towards the development activities using Shopify and vvast’s custom Shopify theme “vvastify”, across multiple brands who have multiple sites, reporting into the Managing Director. This role offers an opportunity for you to develop and progress further within the business as we grow, if you would like to.
The main responsibilities for our Theme Developer role include but are not limited to:
- Building and maintaining Shopify themes across a growing number of lifestyle brands, using vvastify as a foundation
- Contributing to continuing development and improvement of the vvastify theme
- Collaborating with other developers in regular standup, code review and pull request meetings
- Integrating 3rd party apps into Shopify stores
- Helping to scope and estimate new functionality, have a relentless focus on R&D opportunities
- Contribute to the development of open source software, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, and common web technologies integral to building seamless multi-channel experiences
- Truly live the vvast value of ‘Great things happen when we work together’ by working with the wider team to provide test notes to aid testing new functionality
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise related to the Shopify stores
- Working within the wider team to plan fortnightly sprints
What we offer:
- A starting salary of £30,000-£39,999, depending on your experience
- 37.5 hour working week, Monday-Friday
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

The ideal Theme Developer will have experience working as a Front End Developer using Shopify Liquid, CSS3, HTML5 and Javascript. You will be proactive in your approach to work and enjoy collaborating and sharing ideas with the team. Perhaps you might have experience as a Front-End Developer, Frontend Developer, Web Developer, Frontend developer, Shopify Developer or Front End Theme Developer.
