About the role
Join our Power Commercial team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and contribute to delivering significant projects like the ASTI scheme, aimed at boosting Scotland’s overhead line network's reliability and capacity.
Our projects, such as this initiative, offer a platform not just to showcase your skills but also to expand and refine your capabilities.

Ideal locations for this role include Aberdeenshire or Dundee.
What you'll be doing- Manage costs in relation to infrastructure projects with experience of identifying commercial risks and opportunities in respect of their works
- Deliver varied commercial duties including responsibility for procuring and managing supply chain
- Optimise commercial performance through diligent cost control and value for money opportunities, whilst achieving the required standards and quality for our customers
- Create and maintain commercial relationships to both internal and external stakeholders
- Contract administration with both client and subcontractors
- Provide support and adherence for the Gated Business Lifecycle process
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team
- Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification
- Proactively drive career and personal development, including professional certification
- Commercial management of a large infrastructure project or a portfolio of smaller projects
Who we're looking for
You will have the following qualities/experience:
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
- Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB (or working towards)
- Experience with key contracts such as NEC
- Good communication skills
