Our client is one of the top manufacturers in the UK in their field. They are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join them on a full-time, permanent basis in their facility in Durham.

About the Senior Engineering Manager
As Senior Engineering Manager, you will support the whole engineering function, implementing strategies as laid out by the business and ensuring business objectives are achieved in an efficient manner with particular attention to production efficiency, product quality and staff safety.
Responsibilities include: Analyse, propose and manage budgets, technologies and resources for projects
Plan strategies for the development of routine maintenance systems and upgrades to equipment and systems on schedule and on budgetCommunicate and collaborate with other managers, stakeholders and contractors
Prioritise, delegate and supervise all engineers’ activities and deliverables
Manage, support and evaluate engineers’ performance
Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities
Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions, when needed
About You
As Senior Engineering Manager, you will have proven experience in an fast moving manufacturing environment, with a track record of leading successful projects and teams.
Other requirements of the Senior Engineering Manager include: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
Member of HACCP a pre-requisite but not essentialPAL experience
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
