The Role: The Commercial Finance Analyst – Sales & Distribution will provide support to the Commercial team, with a particular focus on Sales and Distribution. The jobholder will be involved with financial modelling and data analysis relating to all aspects of the development, implementation, and ongoing optimisation of our global sales and distribution strategy.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Collaborating with the Commercial Finance Business Partnering team to navigate all financial elements of crafting and executing our Commercial strategies, which includes:
• Providing essential support in the creation and upkeep of precise Commercial business case models, interpreting data, and offering actionable insights.
• Recognizing needs and applying the right solutions.
• Assisting with the compilation of the monthly Commercial forecast and annual budget, including:
• Conducting monthly actual versus forecast analyses
• Developing and delivering detailed monthly cost reports
• Reconciliation of purchase orders
• Extracting data from SAP and handling various ad-hoc tasks.
• Supporting the Finance Manager through:
• Analysis of the Regional Financial Strategy, encompassing sales channels, product offerings, and customer segmentation
• Calculating regional and national sales incentives (sales commissions)
• Maintaining the Commercial & regional Business Case, strategic business models, and conducting ad-hoc analyses.
• Assisting the Finance Manager and Sales & Distribution team in executing and refining the cost of retail strategy
• Supporting the Finance Manager and Sales & Distribution team in the implementation of the used car model
• Collaborating with the Central Sales Management Team
• Creating Commercial Budget Dashboards and KPI reports
• Providing support to the FP&A and Business Partnering functions as needed.

For the Commercial Finance Analyst – Sales & Distribution, we are looking for:

• Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or relevant degree desired but not required
• Minimum of 3 years FP&A or similar experience, preferably in a Manufacturing sector. Key skills include experience in building/maintaining complex financial models and clear presentation of financial data to non-financial individuals.
• Commercial awareness, a positive attitude and “can-do” approach, comfortable to challenge at all levels.
• Ability to work well in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to quickly master complex requirements.

• Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long term professional relationships at all levels.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
