Are you a detail-oriented professional? Passionate about finance? Looking for a role that makes a difference in the world of education? We have a thrilling opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our dynamic team in Abingdon, Oxfordshire!
As an Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a critical role in our payables team, supporting the smooth operation of day-to-day activities. You'll assist with resolving stakeholders' inquiries and maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.Additionally, you'll handle several key processes and projects that keep our finance team running like a well-oiled machine. You will be responsible for processing invoices, credit notes, student refunds, and employee expenses using Inspyrus and Oracle.
You will support the UPE organisation in resolving purchase order discrepancies and achieving 100% PO compliance. Your tasks will include creating automated payment runs, initiating ad hoc payments, daily bank reconciliations, monthly reconciliations of accounts payable trial balance reports with the general ledger, and maintaining supplier records.
Additionally, you will play a key role in auditing expenses, reconciling supplier statements, intercompany reconciliations, and supporting the month-end process.
Hours of Work: Part-time (0.6FTE – 22.5 hours per week) PermanentLocation: Abingdon, hybrid working will be considered
Accounts Payable Officer Requirements:
- Demonstrate experience in accounts payable role, preferably in a global, multi-currency organisation
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of professional accounting principles and practices
- Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel
- Experience in the use of accounting specific software (Oracle, OCR, etc.)
