Pre-Heat Technician

IRS recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and detail

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying controlled heat to metal components, including plate and pipe, in preparation for welding and fabrication processes.

• Apply pre-heating techniques to metal components plate and pipe using appropriate heating equipment.
• Monitor and control temperatures in line with specified procedures and job requirements.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Work closely with trade teams to meet production requirements.
• Maintain equipment and report any faults or issues promptly.

• Previous experience in pre-heating, heat treatment, or a similar role within a fabrication or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of heating processes for plate and pipe materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Awareness of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic.

• Monday to Friday
• 42 hours per week
• Long Term and Ongoing assignment.

• Dayshift £14.50 per hour for the first 38 hours worked Monday to Friday £18.85 per hour in excess of 38 hours worked and approved £21.75 per hour for all Saturday hours worked and approved £29.00 per hour for all Sunday hours worked and approved If you have the experience and skills required and are looking for a long-term opportunity, we encourage you to apply now.
