Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant
Location: Midsummer House, Midsummer Common, Cambridge CB4 1HASalary: Up to £25,000 per annum (DOE)
Hours: 4.30pm - Finish, Wednesday - Saturday
Holiday: 5 weeks holiday (inclusive of 2 weeks over Christmas, 1 week in spring and 2 weeks in summer)
Days: This is a full-time job, four days a week. The restaurant is open Wednesday to Saturday. Flexibility to work all shifts between all specified days is required.

Please note that due to the business location, you would need your own transportation to get to work.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are looking for a consistent and reliable hard-worker to join our team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintain cleanliness, and support the culinary team. This position requires excellent teamwork skills as you will be working closely with other members of the team.
Effective communication skills are also important for coordinating tasks and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
- Dispose of trash and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
