Cook Manager
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cook Manager to join our fantastic team at CHS South.
This is a Grade 5, permanent post working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The pro-rata salary is £24,224 and the full time equivalent is £28,163.
We’re looking for:
Someone who is suitably qualified, and can demonstrate a collaborate, team working approach focused on continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a quality, cost effective catering service, adhere to pre-planned menus to ensure compliance with legislative client requirements and customer needs, and provide a customer focused service, which is courteous and responsive and meets the school's needs at all times.
Main purpose of the job:
To be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient operation of all aspects of the catering service in a high school setting, including management of the team, cash reconciliation and the completion of all financial returns.
The post holder will report to the Head of Catering and manage catering staff within the school. They will work closely with school leadership colleagues and catering colleagues across the Trust as well as external contractors.

CHS South
CHS South is a 11-16 eight-form entry, mixed, comprehensive school opened in conjunction with Chorlton High School in 2018. Our school provides a full capacity of 1200 in our brand-new building which opened in September 2021.
