We are currently seeking a Data Scientist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for delivering across the entire MLOps pipeline, implementing advanced statistical and machine learning models.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the management of large datasets, ensuring data quality, integrity, and efficient preprocessing (aggregation, cleaning, and structuring).
  • Analyse and interpret data to uncover trends and insights, effectively communicating findings to key stakeholders.
  • Oversee and contribute to all stages of the MLOps pipeline, from development to deployment.
  • Develop and implement advanced AI and machine learning models using cutting-edge algorithms.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team, advocating for colleagues and supporting their individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Masters’ degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data science or a related field
Technical Expertise (or a commitment to upskill in):
  • Extensive experience in statistics, machine learning, and programming.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant languages.
  • Strong knowledge of databases for data storage and retrieval (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with deep learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, SciKit-Learn, PyTorch).
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets, including cleaning and preprocessing for analysis.
  • Advanced statistical skills, including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation (e.g., Pandas and NumPy).
  • Ability to create clear, effective data visualisations (e.g., using tools like Matplotlib and Seaborn).
  • Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), plus version control (Git).
  • Understanding of natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), and computer vision.
Soft Skills (or a commitment to upskill in):
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of working independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data in a clear and concise way.
  • Quick learner, adaptable to new technologies and techniques.
  • Significant experience in leading and contributing to complex projects.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to define methodologies clearly and communicate findings effectively.
  • Understanding of startup culture (desirable).
Please note that this role requires candidates to be based in office within central Manchester, sponsorship is not available at this time, and applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK. We are unable to offer remote working due to the nature of our client base.

You must have existing right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months.
