Job overview

**This position is open to staff working at the Trust in the ‘ECT Family’ this includes current East Cheshire NHS Trust employees, both NHSP and ECT bank staff, ISS staff and volunteers at the Trust. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from applicants not listed within these groups.**

An outstanding opportunity for an Administration Assistant to help the Medical Secretaries within the Speciality of Cardiology has arisen.

You will be working with a team of professionals who are truly some of the best in their field.

This post is Fixed Term, 12 months.

Hours per week: 22.5

Main duties of the job

To provide administration and clerical support to the medical secretarial teams.

You will need to have basic keyboard skills and previous office experience would be advantageous.

Duties include general administration, filing, distribution of post, tracking of patient notes and usage of the PAS, e-referral and Medisec software systems.

The role is physically demanding and involves manual handling of patient case notes, filing and filing in the main records library.

  • Good general education. Must have GCSE English grade 4 or above.

  • Typing qualifications.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Patient Management System.

Experience

  • No experience needed as training will be given.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous office experience.
