Our Investments & Pensions team, part of our Private Wealth team, have a brand new opportunity for a Protection Specialist to join them.

Ideally this will be a full-time role, however the team will consider applications from people looking for part-time hours.

In terms of location, the team are based in Newcastle but this role could also be based in our Leeds office.

The Team

Our Private Wealth team are a collaboration of lawyers, accountants, financial advisors and tax specialists. Their expertise are highly regarded and they have a solid reputation for providing creative financial planning, legal and tax solutions and investment advice to private clients.

The Role

Whilst this role will require you to have some understanding of holistic financial planning, your work will be focussed on providing advice on financial protection policies. You'll work directly with clients, demonstrating your strong knowledge of product types and provider offerings.

You won't be expected to generate leads yourself, but this can be part of the role if it's something you're interested in. You'll also assist our team of experienced Financial Advisors with Inheritance Tax planning strategies for a wide range of high net worth clients.

As this is a brand new role, there will be lots of opportunities for you to help with the implementation and evolution of the key responsibilities, systems and procedures associated with this role.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role, you'll need as a minimum;
  • Level 4 Financial Advisor qualification
  • 5 years' experience in the life insurance market, with strong knowledge of product types and provider offerings
  • Experience in dealing with high value cases for Whole of Life, Term Assurance and Gift Inter Vivos policies
