Are you looking for a new challenge and career progression? Working with multi professional colleagues, and become part of an exciting trauma and Orthopaedic team? working across sites as required gaining a vast knowledge base within this speciality.Experience in theatres is desirable but not essential. The trusts offers a wider variety of specialities including – gynaecology, general, head and neck, Obstetrics, day surgery, vascular, Ophthalmology, urology, anaesthetics and recovery–We encourage career progression for all our staff and training will be given to facilitate development.

There is a planned move for this service during 202x5/2026, when this role and base of work will relocate to Bournemouth site. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder’s home and work base will be classified as a commute.Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.

Essential criteria- Willingness to undertake additional training and education in relation to theatre skills
- Care Certificate
Technical Skills Competencies
Essential criteria- Ability to work as a part of a busy team
- Willing to be in the operating theatre areas during surgery.
- Demonstrate a physical ability to perform manual handling tasks such as moving/positioning anaesthetised patients, pushing and pulling heavy equipment, wearing lead aprons etc
- Willing and able to follow instructions
