JSS Search Operational Risk Partner Data and Technology

The role will support delivery of the Risk strategy by implementing the second line operating model to oversee data risk management.About the role - what you will be doing in our teamYou will be responsible for:Executing 2nd Line Risk oversight activities across data risk to ensure adequate review and challenge (e.g. in relation to risk profile definition, risk identification, control design and implementation, control testing, risk scenarios, monitoring, governance, risk appetite and reporting).Partner with the Data team to help develop a comprehensive view of our data risk profile and risk management maturity.Apply your knowledge of data risk processes, controls and control testing to recommend enhancements and new controls to support a strong control environment.Identify data risk insights and provide input into Risk governance reporting to Technology and Data Risk Forums, Executive and Board level risk reporting.Lead engagement with Data change programmes to provide ongoing oversight of both project delivery risk and delivered operational risks.Provide assurance over key data risks and controls.Support the Head of Risk to define and implement an ongoing operating model to oversee data risks.Person requirements;This role would suit someone who has experience in data risk management, internal audit, control testing and/or governance.Demonstrated relevant data risk / audit experience is essential.Ability to provide challenge at all levels of the organisation, using their subject matter expertise and experience as leverage to ensure the best outcomeExperienced subject matter expertise in data risk management within financial services.Experience of working within risk management or control functions across the three lines of defenceBroad exposure to related disciplines within Risk (e.g. technology, cyber, change) and awareness of market best practice in risk managementUnderstanding of good governance practicesUnderstanding of the principles of control environment design and operationExperience of carrying out control testingExperience in applying data analytics techniques is also desirable.
