Domestic Abuse Support Worker (Female only)

We are looking for a support worker with experience of working with women and children either in a specialist domestic abuse service, housing or homelessness, refuge, children’s work or family support.

You will be working with women and children within our refuges and undertaking community work including group facilitation, 1:1 domestic abuse support and delivery of young people's workshops. Key elements of this role include completing detailed risk assessments which will inform safety planning, empowering women to make informed choices, and creating detailed support plans in collaboration with women who have experienced domestic abuse.

This post includes work that specifically addresses the needs of women and children affected by domestic abuse. The office is based within a women’s refuge, therefore this post is restricted to women under the Equality Act 2010. As the post involves working with vulnerable adults and children, recruitment is carried out in line with safe recruitment practices.
