Design and Technology Teacher
Robert Barclay Academy is part of Scholars’ Education Trust. We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious and dynamic teacher to join our highly successful team. We warmly welcome applications from ECTs as well as experienced teachers.
You will be a practitioner who is always willing to learn and develop your teaching skills. You will have the necessary desire, energy and drive to further improve standards of achievement and ensure teaching is of the highest quality across all Key Stages.
Design and Technology is a popular subject at the Robert Barclay Academy. This is a very exciting time to join a well-equipped and experienced department with state-of-the-art facilities. We are committed to developing young, ambitious designers of the future who are given opportunities to explore different design and making techniques.Our classrooms include 21st-century technology such as laser cutters, 3D printers and a computer suite. As well as this, we have a fully equipped metal workshop, with a well-resourced multi-material classroom to complement it.
In March 2023, Ofsted judged the school to be ‘Good’ in all areas. As part of this Ofsted inspection, the parents were effervescent in their praise for the school (see Ofsted Parent View). We are a school on the rise, and as a result of our rapidly improving reputation, the school is expanding due to increased pupil numbers.
