Personal Assistant - Cardiology
Job overview
We have a vacancy for a full time (37.5 hours), Band 4 Personal Assistant to work on Ward 2 (Cardiology) at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury.
You will support the smooth running of the wards by providing all aspects of administrative support to the Ward Managers and Senior Nurses.
We are looking for candidates who are conscientious, highly motivated, friendly and able to work as part of the team.
Main duties of the job- As a PA you will be working closely with Senior Management to provide an effective, confident and efficient administration service.
- You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, along with the ability to build relationships.
- You will be the first point of contact for telephone, emails and face to face enquiries.
- You will provide diary and email management, arrange appointments, meetings/events and interviews.
- You will maintain internal filing and systems to effectively manager workloads.
- You will write meeting minutes and letters effectively and distribute as appropriate.(This list is not exhaustive).

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
- Business Administration e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Medical Secretarial Studies Certificate or similar
- RSA 2/3 or equivalent qualification/experience
Experience & Skills
Essential criteria- Organisational and time management skills
- Experience of organising meetings and taking minutes
- Able to deal with sensitive issues in a confidential manner
- Previous experience of working in an NHS organisation
- Previous experience working as a PA or similar role
- Use of Microsoft Offices including teams.
