Teaching Assistant
This role begins February 2025.
Duties as a Teaching Assistant:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning and support progress.
- Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students in their educational journey.
- Support students with additional learning needs where necessary.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and key skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a teaching assistant role within an FE setting.
- Understanding of the Further Education curriculum and teaching methods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff as a Teaching Assistant.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting young adult learners
