About the Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Your duties will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with disabilities that include but aren't limited to: autism, adhd, SEMH.
  • Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Promoting an inclusive and nurturing environment.
  • Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting (desirable but not essential).
  • A caring and patient approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
