Warrington & Vale Royal College is seeking to appoint a full time, Lecturer in Media. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and professional individual who can teach across a range of L1 to L5 courses in BTEC Media. You will guide students to achieve excellent results through a variety of teaching and learning strategies.

The successful candidate should have an up to date knowledge of the changes to vocational education in BTEC.

Your skills will be broad and should include practical production techniques including camera, sound and lighting, post production techniques such as editing, motion graphics and visual effects, and social media content production. Knowledge and experience in teaching film studies, media codes & conventions, scriptwriting techniques, storyboarding and pre-production processes.

Suitable candidates will have a degree in Media Production or a related subject and have a high degree of industry practice. You will ideally have a recognised teaching qualification, or be willing to complete the qualification once in post.

In addition, applicants should possess excellent teamwork and organisational skills with an ‘excellence’ mindset, and ideally be an experienced FE lecturer.
