Care Assistant - Responsibilities:
You will work as part of the care team ensuring that our resident's maintain their health and wellbeing by assisting them with daily tasks such as with meals, personal care and one-to-one support while encouraging independence. You will undertake regular training to help you carry out your role.
Care Assistant - Experience, qualifications & skills:
If you have previous experience and qualifications in the care of the elderly that is great but more important than that is that you are kind and caring with a desire to support elderly people.
Pay: £12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 48 per week

Shift Pattern: 8am - 8pm (3 or 4 12-hour shifts per week on a rolling rota - 36 or 48 hours)
We are looking for a care assistant to join our team at The Chesters Care Home in Low Fell, Gateshead, where we provide care and support for up to 33 residents. We are looking for someone who has a caring nature and is willing to work as part of the care team to ensure the care home maintains excellent standards of care and support and ensures that The Chesters is a 'home from home' for all of our residents.This is a full-time and permanent position.
Some additional (overtime) hours will be available from time to time to cover holiday and sickness. Working patterns and hours can be discussed at interview.Care Assistant - Responsibilities:

You will also be able to work well in a team and communicate effectively with residents and colleagues. You will have to undergo a DBS check and provide two references.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS- Hold the relevant Vocational Qualification needed for the position (NVQ level 2 preferred & care certificate)
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Satisfactory DBS Check and two references
- Relevant experience of working in a caring environment
- You must have the right to work in the UK
Pay: £12.00 per hour
