Learning Support Assistants
The role of our Learning Support Assistants is to promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with EHCPs (Educational Healthcare Plans), under the direction of the class teacher.
You will work in close collaboration with our Teachers to deliver the current curriculum to students and ensure all students are engaging with their education, in this role you will be expected to support with the management of behaviour within the classroom and work in a variety of whole class exercises; as well as on a one to one basis and in small focus groups.
The SEND department is led by two SENDCo's, overseen by our Assistant Headteacher (Inclusion), who focus on the students within different key stages of the school and college. The department also has its own SEND Officer.
At All Hallows we are committed to the development of our staff, LSAs working within the team receive a bespoke CPD programme throughout the year provided by both school colleagues and external professionals. This supports anyone who joins us, at any stage in their professional journey, to maximise their potential.
Opportunities exist to become a specialist in your subject area, or to be a Literacy or Numeracy Lead. All Hallows also has training programmes available for individuals who wish to develop as an ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) or a SALT (Speech and Language Therapist).

The position is term time only.
