Quality Excellence Manager
Allstaff Manufacturing Division are delighted to bring to the market the role of Quality Excellence Manager. This role is based near to Paisley and own transport is essential. Hours of work are based on Dayshift, 40 per week 8am-4.30pm
Role purpose:
Being part of the management team, the role of Quality Excellence Manager is to be responsible for ensuring we exceed our customer expectations, via a proactive approach & the integrity of quality assurance, problem-solving & audit of all internally produced products to technical specifications, meeting the defined quality standards & systems required.You will lead the management and development of the Plant Quality Team, with safety first, “best in class” expertise & providing an environment that supports continuous improvement to ensure that we achieve our manufacturing & sustainability ambitions.
This role will be fundamental in implementing proactive Quality Risk Reduction and ensuring robust presentative action is implemented from this. The Quality Excellence Manager will be required to develop the Quality & wider operational teams to ensure robust RCA’s are driving improvement, while developing Quality Culture, leading to Quality Excellence.
The role is required to work with the Head of Quality to create the path to excellence, being a transformational manager is key, challenging non value add processes, while excelling in customer centricity (internal and external). In conjunction with the Head of Quality, the Quality Excellence Manager will translate the 5 year Group Quality strategy.
Key accountabilities:
- Being an advocate for strong H & S practices and aiding the development of H & S Culture
- Actively leading Quality culture maturity, leading to excellence, via a measured programme.
- Creating a proactive culture within Quality that is data driven, with priorities understood.
- Actively leading to ensure Quality KPI’s (while developing these metrics) are met and support other functional KPI’s are required.
- Ensure that company procedures & processes are adhered to & improved upon in line with requirements for IATF16949, AS9100, ISO9001 or others as defined by the business.
- Quality Control Management including (but not exclusively): product compliance & verification against internal & customer specifications, confirmation of product & process controls, colour confirmation, consistent application of quality management protocols & development thereof, quality performance statistical data analysis, management of corrective actions (5Why's, Global 8D, Ishikawa, FMEA), delivery of PPAP/PSW approvals of all products.
- Management, allocation & development of appropriate Quality resource both proactive (continuous improvement) & reactive (containment). Team includes: technicians, engineers and Quality Improvement Leader.
- Management & reporting to Business stakeholders on Quality performance through accurate data analysis (Statistical analysis, PowerBI).
- Responsible for data gathering & analysis, problem solving, project management & delivering meaningful & relevant presentation events.
- Training - Development & PDR management of Quality team members.
- Compliance with all legal & statutory requirements pertaining to Quality.
- Delivery & development of a robust Quality Management System within production operations.
- Role model leadership behaviours which promotes excellence & shapes the company culture.
- Identify and eliminate internal & external risk factors (product / processes / practices).
- Policies - all legal & statutory requirements by department. Whilst living the Company values and promoting health, safety and wellbeing, provide clear vision and leadership to the Team, as well as inspire, motivate and coach to help them develop new skills and support succession planning.
- A degree in a related discipline – to include data analysis, Quality Management experience - minimum 5 years
- Leadership – can engage stakeholders and demonstrates a passion for excellence.
- Experience in transformational change to progress Quality is key to this role.
- Understands Quality Excellence, with use of a network.
- Previous experience of operating within a senior level Quality role within manufacturing.
- Experience with statistical analysis, work measurement & process analysis.
- Experience of developing & implementing meaningful KPI’s, targeting key areas of improvement, enabling the ability to celebrate success.
- Understanding of Power BI and be able to develop reports within.
