Manual Software Tester

A new exciting opportunity has become available to join a dynamic IT team as a Manual Software Tester, where your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will play a crucial role in the software development lifecycle, working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required for effective test execution.
- Test Case Design: Create detailed test cases and scenarios covering functional, non-functional, and edge cases to align with project objectives.
- Test Execution: Conduct manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
- Defect Management: Identify, report, and track software defects using systems like Azure DevOps, JIRA, or Bugzilla. Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
- Test Automation: Work with the automation team to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions.
- Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements and quality expectations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation including test plans, cases, reports, and release notes. Document test results and recommendations for future reference.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance testing practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Engineer in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective collaboration.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
