Location London Watford or Chelmsford with regional travel
Salary £ 55 000 - £ 65 000
A renowned construction and civil engineering contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in the South East to deliver high-quality construction and civil engineering projects across the UK
Duties- Managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects
- Ensuring projects are completed within the projected budget
- Providing financial and commercial advice to the project team
- Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities
- Monitoring and controlling costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Identifying analyzing and developing responses to commercial risks
- Managing subcontractor procurement payments and final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor ideally within the construction or engineering sectors
- Strong understanding of construction contracts tender processes and cost control mechanisms
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Membership with a relevant professional body (e g RICS) is desirable but not essential
