Harper May is partnering with a renowned property and construction group, which has experienced substantial growth and plans to launch additional developments in the coming months. Our client is now seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead their finance team and support the company’s continued expansion.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring adherence to month-end reporting deadlines and regulatory complianceDevelop a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting structures and general ledger systems to facilitate accurate and timely reportingDrive monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activitiesIdentify opportunities for process optimisation and resource allocation, enhancing departmental efficiency without compromising accuracyProvide guidance on non-routine financial transactionsSpearhead the implementation of procedural enhancements and technological innovations to streamline workflow and elevate performance standardsConduct training sessions for new and existing staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional developmentCollaborate with the Director on special projects and workflow enhancementsManage the finance team to meet reporting requirements and ensure consistency and compliance across all financial operations

Qualifications/Skills:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified or equivalentProven experience in finance management, ideally within the property and construction sectorsStrong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage teamsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsSound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting standardsAuditing experienceCompliance-oriented with a strong understanding of regulationsProficiency in accounting software and systemsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail
