Practice Nurse
They will plan, implement and evaluate care working within the Clinical team by providing an educational and supportive role for patients and team members. They will work alongside other Clinical colleagues including GPs, Nurses, Administration team and the Practice Manager Job responsibilities: MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list is not exhaustive and is flexible in line with needs Clinical responsibilities: Exercise a high degree of professional and personal autonomy.
Have skills in assessment, prioritisation and management of patients. Provide care at all times following clinical guidelines Provide chronic disease management clinics in line with current protocol and NICE guidelines. Provide quality treatment room services such as Dressings and wound care Contraception Childhood immunisations Travel Vaccinations Cervical Smears Occasional Phlebotomy if needed Assist when required the doctors in the insertion of coils and implants ECG taking Hypertension management Spirometry INR Star trained Be mindful of and report any safeguarding concerns appropriately Attend and participate in Practice meetings when required Promote evidence- based Practice through the use of latest research- based guidelines Awareness of infection control and conduct audits if asked to do so by the Clinical lead nurse The Practice will also support you with personal development and training opportunities.
You will be expected to effectively manage your own time and workload to provide excellent Patient care. Confidentiality at all times complying with the NHS code of Practice on Confidentiality, Data Protection Act 1988 and Freedom of information Act 2000
